Sucuraj is located on the east cape of the island of Hvar, 77 km from the city of Hvar. This picturesque small town has existed for more than 2300 years, it has been destroyed and rebuilt several times. It has more than 2700 hours of sunshine per year, because of that it is one of the sunniest and hottest places on the island.
The Hvar square is most beautiful in Croatia. It measures 4500 square meters, and the town has developed around this square, south of the square in the 15th century and north of the square in the 13th century. The Cathedral of St. Stephen was built during the 16th and 17th centuries and it is located at the end of the town square.
